The Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre was packed over the weekend as people came out to see the over 200 exhibits at the Quinte Sportsman, Boat, and RV Show.
The show, which focuses on outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, boating, and vacation travel, hadn’t been held since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Organizer Jeff Cox was thankful.
“Well this weekend we’ve had a record attendance for all the years that we’ve ever had the show and I’ve never seen so many positive people
and I’m very thankful that Belleville supported this show and they came back. It was a very nice thing to see.”
Final attendance figures aren’t available but the previous attendance record had been 15,000.
Meanwhile Cox said that despite the negative economic outlook that’s dominated headlines lately a lot of people are upbeat.
“People are buying boats, there are people buying trailers. There’s a lot of business being done for the guys locally which I’m very glad to see because after all of this there was a lot of guys that couldn’t do any business and that’s really helped out a lot.”
This weekend’s event was the 23rd annual Quinte Sportsman, Boat, and RV Show.
