The busy weekend continues for local hockey leagues and their playoff games.
In Junior C playoffs, the Port Hope Panthers beat the Frankford Huskies 6-4 on Saturday and now lead their best of seven series 2-1.
In the Eastern Ontario Super League, the Gananoque Islanders demolished the Tweed Oil Kings 7-1, now leading their best of five series 2-0.
Several games are on the docket for Sunday in multiple leagues.
In the Junior A league, St Michael’s is in Wellington to face the Dukes. The Dukes lead best of seven 2-0. The puck drops at 3:30.
In Junior C action, the Campbellford Rebels face the Picton Pirates at 7:30. The Pirates are leading the best of seven series 2-0.
The Tweed Oil Kings in the Eastern Ontario Super league are done for the weekend and will face the Islanders again on Friday.
