Three more people in Hastings/Prince Edward died from COVID 19 last week. That brings the fatality list from the coronavirus to 112 since the pandemic began.
Meanwhile, according to Hastings Prince Edward Public Health, there were 92 new high risk cases of COVID in the past week, down from 106 new cases the week before.
Seventeen people were in hospital with the disease, three of them in intensive care. That’s an increase from 12 in hospital the week previous.
There were three ongoing COVID 19 outbreaks in high risk settings.
Meanwhile influenza activity in the community is described as moderate with just four new lab-confirmed cases of the flu, down from seven the week before. Since the influenza season began there have been 189 lab-confirmed cases.
