Three Oaks Foundation is holding an event to coincide with International Women’s Day.
The free event is being held Wednesday, March 8, 10am-2pm at Parkdale Community Centre on Birch Street in Belleville.
Attendees can participate in an art project using all the symbols that represent women from all walks of life and backgrounds.
There will also be live music, Henna tattoos provided by Three Oaks staff, and advice and mini make-overs from representatives from Farmasi, a skin care, makeup, and home product company.
Amy Rose, one of the event organizers, says it is important to celebrate and recognize all women always and particularly on a day designated to highlight the achievements of women on International Women’s Day.
The event will kick off at 10am with opening remarks from representatives from Three Oaks Foundation.
