The Quinte West OPP has charged two individuals with fraud and identity theft.
On February 25, 2023, at approximately 11:00 a.m., officers responded to a business on Bell Boulevard for a report of two individuals attempting to make a large purchase on a credit card that appeared to be compromised. An investigation led to the men being arrested.
Moussa Sanno, 26 years old from Laval Quebec, has been charged with the following offences:
- Fraud Over $5000
- Personation with Intent (Identity Fraud)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order – Four Counts
Samual Baffour, 27 years old from Laval Quebec has been charged with the following offences:
- Fraud Over $5000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order – Two Counts
Both accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
