Snow flurries were falling and the temperature sat at around minus 10 but that didn’t stop almost 300 people from going out for a stroll during the annual Coldest Night of the Year Walk in Belleville.
This was the second year the Grace Inn homeless shelter hosted the event and the 57 teams and 23 volunteers managed to raise over $64,000 with all of the money going to help the homeless population in the community.
Donations were still being tallied and a final count has not yet been released.
Last year’s walk raised around $60,000.
