The City of Belleville is updating the Loyalist (West) Secondary Plan, in what officials call an important next step in planning for the future of the city.
A consulting firm (Dillon Consulting) was hired to provide a Natural Heritage Study to assess environmental conditions within the study area.
The Loyalist (West) Secondary Plan was adopted by city council in 2010.
The plan involves approximately 950 hectares of land located east of Wallbridge-Loyalist Road, south of Highway 401 and north of the Bay of Quinte.
Comments on the Secondary Plan update are welcome.
