The Trenton Golden Hawks dismantled the Mississauga Chargers 7-1.
Lucas Robinson, Matthew Cato, Jaden Raad, Sami Douglas-Najem, Jack Natyshak, and David Fournier all scored for the Golden Hawks.
Trenton opened the game with an agressive start, nailing two goals in under five minutes of play, while the Chargers couldn’t claim any in the first period. The Golden Hawks took off in the second period, landing two more goals in the back of the Chargers’ net in the first five minutes of the frame before the Chargers got their first and only goal of the night, only to have the Golden Hawks take two more goals from them as they kept the pressure on. The Golden Hawks came back for one last goal in the third period, having taken more than twice as many shots on net as the Chargers did.
Meanwhile in local Junior C Hockey, the Picton Pirates defeated the Frankford Huskies 6-3.
In the Eastern Ontario Senior Hockey League, the Arnprior Rivermen defeated the Deseronto Bulldogs 5-4 eliminating them from the playoffs.
