Quinte West’s Planning Committee is recommending council approve an Official Plan amendment which would allow a proposed housing development to move ahead in Trenton.
A developer hopes to build 20 stacked townhouses on a triangular piece of property flanked by Front Street, Water Street, and Nicholas Street.
There would be two three-storey buildings, one with eight units and the other with 12.
Lower Trent Conservation sold the property, located on the west side of the Trent River, several years ago.
Quinte West council will make the final decision on the application.
