A 39-year-old Belleville man has pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography and one count of making available child pornography.
Stephen Ladoucier will be sentenced on May 19.
Back in June, Belleville Police had received information regarding illegal material being distributed on social media in April 2022.
After an investigation, a west-end residence was searched.
Ladoucier was initially charged with two counts of possession of child pornography, one count of accessing child pornography, and one count of making available child pornography.
A plea deal knocked the charges down.
The case was brought for a Gladue pre-sentence report.
A Gladue report is a type of request from a Canadian court that takes into consideration sentencing someone who has an aboriginal background.
It relates back to R vs. Gladue which can be found here.
