Belleville police had to get involved after a suspected shoplifter began fighting with security staff in a parking lot along Bell Boulevard Tuesday night.
Officers managed to arrest 32-year-old city man Robert Cotter. He faces a theft under $5,000 charge.
Meanwhile the Belleville Police Service is asking for information after a front window at an east end pharmacy was broken and the business was entered just before midnight Tuesday.
A search by the K9 Unit but was unsuccessful. Anyone with information should contact Belleville police at 613-966-0882.
