Recent Belleville councils have made significant investments in new recreation facilities for the city and at Monday’s meeting council will see a proposed capital budget that includes more improvements in parks and facilities.
Staff is recommending $2 million be spent to continue the development of Hillcrest Park.
Staff is suggesting Phase 2 see the design and construction of 2 basketball courts, 8 pickleball courts, a skate dot, and the completion of lighting in the park.
Council will study the capital budget in detail at a special meeting February 23.
