On Saturday, February 4, and Sunday, February 5, 2023, Pegasus Cheer Athletics athletes competed at the 2023 Provincial Championships.
Held at the CAA Centre in Brampton by the Ontario Cheerleading Federation, the 2023 Provincial Championships saw teams from across the province compete in all levels and divisions.
Two teams and two individuals competed, earning the following placements:

Indy Bella (U16 Level 1 Cheer Abilities, ages 12 – 16) – First place; Provincial Champion

Indy Grace (Open Level 1 Cheer Abilities, ages 15+) – First place, Provincial Champion

Nova (U12 Allstar Prep Level 1, ages 8 – 12) – Second place

Eclipse (U12 Allstar Elite Level 1, ages 8 – 12) – Outstanding Performance
The two teams in attendance also earned the following specialty awards:

“It was fantastic to see the support for our Cheer Abilities athletes at Sunday’s event. Grace and Bella have been working on mastering skills and learning their routines since September 2022. This competition marked their first performance of the season,” says Liz Yntema, owner of Pegasus Cheer Athletics. “They brought a lot of energy to the mats and we’re incredibly proud of them.”
