Construction activity was down in Prince Edward County in January compared to the year before however one major project accounts for most of the difference.
The County issued 63 permits with a construction value of $8.4 million last month down from the 66 permits worth $21.1 million in January 2022.
Last year there was a permit issued for a $10.5 million apartment building.
The County reports there were six permits for new dwellings, one of which was a four-unit townhouse, granted last month.
