The Batawa Ski Racing Club continued their season with all teams active over the weekend.
Batawa hosted a U8/U10 invitational race with Brimacombe on Sunday.
More than 80 athletes competed in a panel slalom on a beautiful day.
In the girls’ U8 race, Batawa finished 1-2-3 with Meaghan Black taking Gold, and Clara Elliott Silver and Sage Peltzer taking the Bronze. Brody Bell was the top Batawa finisher in the U8 boys race finishing fifth.
In the U10 girls’ race Audrina Arbuckle was the top Batawa racer claiming sixth place in a large field of racers. Koby Hunt took the Gold medal in the U10 boys race with Callum Boyd finishing fourth and Benjamin Murray taking fifth.
Travelling to Blue Mountain in Collingwood, the U16/U19 teams competed in a Giant Slalom on Saturday morning.
In the women’s U16 race, Anabella Cowling Zeljkovic won the Silver medal followed by Elena De Luca placing fifth.
In the U19 women’s race, Alexia Bianchi was the top Batawa finisher capturing the bronze medal with Holly Liu in fourth and Haleigh MacPherson fifth.
In the men’s U19 race, Batawa placed two on the podium with Spencer Dullard-Krizay taking Silver and Ian Isbester winning Bronze. Bodin MacDonald had a strong race to finish eighth.
The U14 team travelled to Glen Eden in Milton for a slalom race. Maya Bianchi continued her great start to the season taking the Silver medal.
Ava Gravel finished seventh. In the men’s race Linden Forrest placed fifth.
The U12 team was at The Heights of Horseshoe for a Giant Slalom race. Avery Forrest led the way for Batawa racers finishing sixth in the men’s race.
In the women’s race Gwenna Cone captured another top 10 result placing seventh.
