Belleville police responded to 78 calls for service in the 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on February 6, 2023 to 5 a.m. on February 7, 2023.
Break and enter
On February 6, 2023 at 9:45 a.m., police received a call regarding a break and enter overnight. The owner of a Wilson Avenue storage unit advised that overnight, unknown suspects attended in an unplated U-Haul truck and broke into three units. The break-in occurred at approximately 2 a.m. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Belleville Police Service.
Theft of cell phone
On February 6, 2023 at 2:25 p.m., police received a call to a Bell Boulevard business regarding a theft of a cell phone. The victim advised that someone had stolen her phone out of her shopping cart.
