The Toronto Patriots defeated the Wellington Dukes 3-2 on Saturday.
Ryan Cutler and Luke Strickland scored for the Dukes.
The Patriots opened scoring hard in the first period, claiming a two point lead and keeping the Dukes off the board until the second frame, where they claimed an unanswered goal to start their comeback. Early in the third period the Dukes found the back of the net a second time to tie the score, but the Patriots went on to take another goal and the lead before the end of the frame.
In upcoming local Junior A action, the Trenton Golden Hawks are travelling to face the North York Rangers on Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile in local Junior C hockey, the Port Hope Panthers pounced on the Frankford Huskies, 6 to 3 and the Amherstview Jets left the Campbellford Rebels in the dust 7 to 4.
In the Eastern Ontario Senior Hockey League, the Tweed Oil Kings defeated the Frontenac Phantoms 7 to 3 and the Deseronto Bulldogs beat the Gananoque Islanders 8 to 5.
