In local Junior A hockey, the Wellington Dukes smashed the Haliburton Huskies 6-1 on Friday night.
Connor Hunt, Jacob Vreugdenhill, Edward Moskowitz, Matheson Mason, David Campbell, and Barrett Joynt scored for the Dukes.
The Huskies got off to a strong start, claiming an unanswered goal in the first period and taking their lead into the second where the Dukes tied it up with an unanswered goal of their own early in the period. The teams remained neck and neck until almost five minutes into the final frame when the Dukes began an explosive series of goals, finding the back of the net five times throughout the period.
Meanwhile the Trenton Golden Hawks slipped past the Toronto Junior Canadiens 4-3 in overtime.

The Golden Hawks and the Junior Canadiens were neck in neck almost out the gate, with the Golden Hawks taking first goal and the Canadiens matching them point for point through the first two periods. After a scoreless third, the teams went into overtime where after three minutes, the Golden Hawks got their fourth goal and took home the win.
In local Junior C hockey, the Napanee Raiders defeated the Frankford Huskies 6-3.
