Update
Belleville Police have issued photos as they attempt to identify two suspects and a vehicle regarding these break and enters. The vehicle is believed to be a Ford F-250 with an Alberta license plate. The truck also has after-market black rims and tires. The two suspects were the only persons believed to be involved. Belleville Police have confirmed that they are investigating a trio of break-ins in the city overnight.
Quinte News had first learned that the Belleville Transit bus terminal in the Downtown District had a door smashed in and an Automated Teller Machine stolen.
Police say that incident was reported at 3 a.m.
Prior to that, the first break-in reported to police was at the FreshCo. store on North Front Street around 1:27 a.m.
It’s alleged that the suspects were attempting to steal the ATM.
The suspects were seen in what is believed to be a dark Ford F-250.
At 2 a.m., police received a report of the suspects entering the Quinte Mall and stealing another ATM causing significant damage to the building.
The investigation into the incidents is ongoing.
