Four more people have died from COVID-19 in Hastings and Prince Edward counties.
According to Hastings-Prince Edward Public Health 107 people have now died from the infection since
the pandemic began.
Meanwhile the number of new high-risk cases of COVID-19 in the two counties increased to 111 in the past week, up from 80 in
the week previous, and the number of active high risk cases also sits at 111, up from 94.
Eight people are currently being treated in hospital for Coronavirus.
Meanwhile the prevalence of influenza in the area doesn’t seem high. There were no new lab-confirmed cases last week and
the percentage of people presenting with flu-like symptoms in emergency departments is trending down and is below the season’s
average.
