The Haliburton Huskies defeated the Wellington Dukes 3 to 2 on Saturday.
Luke Strickland and Corbin Roach scored for the Dukes.
The Huskies claimed the first goal of the game late in the first period, but the Dukes came back early in the second to even it up. The Huskies wasted no time reclaiming their lead and expanding it to 3-1 before moving into the final frame.
In the third period, the Dukes came out swinging and got one more goal in, but were unable to catch up to the Huskies.
