CFB Trenton says a total of 20 cm of snow fell from Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning, with 16.8 cm falling on Wednesday alone.
It is the highest recorded snowfall on January 25 since it began being tracked in 1937.
All school buses were cancelled and many sidewalks and some side roads hadn’t received much attention before the morning commute.
