An inmate died Wednesday while in custody at Bath Institution.
The Correctional Service of Canada says it cannot share further details in order to comply with a court–ordered publication ban.
At the time of death, the inmate had been serving a sentence of five years and seven months for sexual interference with a person under 16 and corrupting children.
The inmate’s next of kin have been notified.
Police and the coroner have been notified and as in all cases involving the death of an inmate. The Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances.
