Centre Hastings OPP are investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a tractor trailer.
Police responded to the collision on Highway 37 in Tweed around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday morning.
An initial investigation from police determined a pedestrian was struck by a transport truck while walking along the southbound shoulder.
Prior to the collision, the truck was stuck in a nearby ditch.
The pedestrian, identified as 37-year-old Randy Hilton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionist are assisting with the ongoing investigation.
