Patricia Guernsey and Ken Schmidt, Co-Chairs of the YMCA of Central East Ontario Strong Communities campaign have recruited players to get out their racket for a good cause. Funds raised from the tournament support the YMCA of Central East Ontario’s Strong Communities Campaign.
“We are thrilled with the response for our 1 st Annual Pickleball Tournament. Most of our players never played pickleball before but picked up a racket for a good cause! Our goal was $24,000 and already we have surpassed this amount. A huge thank you to everyone who has donated and
supported this event, we are so grateful,” says Patricia Guernsey.
“Patricia and I designed this tournament to raise money, enabling families with limited funds, to attend the Y and use their excellent facilities. Our teams have been AWESOME at getting sponsors and thanks to all of them, we will be able to help a lot of folks in our Quinte community. A big
