The Trenton Golden Hawks shut out the Toronto Patriots 2-0 on Saturday night.

The Golden Hawks took the lead late in a penalty-filled first period with barely a minute left on the clock before the end of the frame. While the hawks scored again in the second, establishing a commanding lead, the penalties kept rolling in for both teams throughout the second and third periods. The Patriots were unable to get a single shot past the Golden Hawks’ goalkeeper and ended the game completely shut out.
Meanwhile in local Junior C action on Saturday night, the Frankford Huskies beat the Napanee Raiders 6-4.
