Prince Edward County is initiating the Picton Master Servicing Plan to determine future infrastructure requirements to support projected growth and planned development in the Picton/Bloomfield serviced area.
That includes water, wastewater, stormwater and transportation.
The MSP study is being conducted in accordance with the requirements of Phase 1 and 2 of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment, which is an approved process under the Environmental Assessment Act.
Key findings and recommendations of the Picton MSP study will be considered and accounted for in other planning studies being undertaken in the County, including the Regional Water Supply Servicing Master Plan and the Class Environmental Assessment Studies for the Wellington Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants.
The County says public consultation is an integral component of Master Planning and there will be a Public Information Centre (PIC) at yet-to-be-determined date.
Once a date for the PIC is confirmed, the County will publish invitation notices in local newspapers and on the County’s website.
