Two local bowlers struck for medals at the Canadian National Bowling Championships in Montreal last week.
Nicholas Blagojevic won gold in the junior division and finished seventh overall. Blagojevic just missed being named to the adult team. The top six bowlers in the overall standings qualify.
Karley Mason won bronze in the junior division.
Blagojevic and Mason are no strangers to major bowling championships.
Both compete out of the Quinte Bowling Centre.
Last summer Blagojevic competed at the Under 21 World Bowling Championships in Sweden.
Nicholas is attending Mckendree University in Lebanon Illinois where he is studying Business. Karley attends St. Francis University in Joliet Illinois studying Psychology.
Both will represent Junior Team Canada in August. The location has not yet been confirmed.
