Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is inviting people of colour to fill out a survey to understand race-based and other forms of discrimination that workers have experienced.
Colour of Poverty – Colour of Change is a provincial network working to build concrete strategies, tools, initiatives, and community-based capacity to address structural and systemic racism.
The survey is open to community members who identify as Indigenous, Black, and racialized in several areas of the province, including the Quinte region.
The goal of the survey is to explore employment barriers that workers are currently facing, and to better understand their experiences of race-based and other forms of discrimination.
The data will be used by Colour of Poverty – Colour of Change in their advocacy efforts.
Results will be shared at a conference with community members, decision makers, and government officials.
