After a nearly year-long search, Campbellford Memorial Hospital has found a new internist and hospitalist.
Dr. Daanish Chippa joined the team in December providing care to patients on the Inpatient Unit and offering consultations to other CMH physicians.
He will also lead a new Discharge Clinic at CMH that will provide follow-up care and assessments for patients after they are released, mainly focusing on older adults who may not have a primary care provider.
Dr. Chippa is from Toronto but left in 2011 to study medicine in the U.S., completing medical school at the Medical University of the Americas and moving throughout the United States for his training rotations, residency, fellowship, and staff positions.
He completed an internal medicine residency at Detroit Medical Center and a geriatric medicine fellowship at the University of Buffalo. Prior to arriving in Campbellford, he worked in internal and hospital medicine at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, New Hampshire.
