Community Services Recovery Fund is Open for Applicants
United Way Hastings & Prince Edward is pleased to announce the Community Services Recovery Fund is accepting
applications from January 6, to February 21, 2023.
Now more than ever, charities and non-profits play a key role in addressing complex social problems faced by
many communities across Canada. To support the vital work done by these organizations, the Government of
Canada committed to providing $400 million to Employment and Social Development Canada to create the
Community Services Recovery Fund (CSRF).
United Way Hastings & Prince Edward is working in collaboration with
United Way Centraide Canada, the Canadian Red Cross, and Community Foundations of Canada to distribute
funding. This fund supports Community Service Organizations, including non-profit organizations, Indigenous
Governing Bodies, and Registered Charities located across Canada.
“With the cost of living at its highest level in 40 years, now more than ever we need the help of our local charitable
and not for profit agencies. Agencies like United Way know our communities best and can allocate these funds on
behalf of the government to organizations that provide hope for local residents when they need it most.” –
Member of Parliament, Ryan Williams.
“We are proud to once again partner with the Government of Canada, United Way Centraide Canada, the
Canadian Red Cross and Community Foundations of Canada to ensure that resources reach our local organizations
to help ensure their resilience and recovery from a very difficult few years.” – Brandi Hodge, Executive Director,
United Way HPE.
We encourage organizations to read the eligibility criteria and learn about the program on the Community Services
Recovery Fund website at https://communityservicesrecoveryfund.ca/ or Hastings Prince Edward United Way.
