A Madoc resident is taking home $100,000 after matching the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the November 8 LOTTO MAX draw.
Albert McDermott says he is a weekly lottery player and checked his ticket after the Santa Claus parade.
“We went to get slurpies after the parade and I checked my ticket at the same time. I couldn’t even count all the zeroes I was so excited. I started waving my wife down,” he told OLG. “My wife was shocked too – she couldn’t believe it.”
McDermott says he plans to save his money.
The winning ticket was purchased at VB Neighbourhood Variety on Morningside Avenue in Scarborough.
