The Regent Theatre has announced it has received a $50,000 grant from Telefilm Canada’s Theatrical Exhibition Program.
The program helps to cover cinema programming expenses.
According to the theatre, the funds will be used to continue their Special Screening series and to support cinema-related operating expenses for the period of a year.
As part of the announcement, the theatre announced the Special Screenings of 2023.
They include the following:
Monday, February 13 at 7 p.m. with post–show Q&A with Sol Guy.

The Death of My Two Fathers.
Monday, February 27 at 7 p.m. with post–show Q&A with James Stewart & cast members.
Sponsored by Geneva Film Company.
Season 2 of Chateau Laurier.
