The Manager of the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce says that the cost of everything will be on the forefront of the minds of business owners in 2023.
Suzanne Andrews says that is critical, but not the only concern for employers and the chamber.
“Inflation is really sort of that big issue that is driving so many things right now. The lack of available workers, that’s really sort of causing operations to be reduced.”
She says on a positive note, Quinte West continues to grow.
“The face of business is changing in our community. We have a lot of people moving into the area, people are starting businesses. People continue to see the demand for their products and services”
She says the businesses that will be successful are the ones that will be able to attract workers and keep up with the cost of goods and services to run their business.
