Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning in the Quinte Region.
Belleville, Quinte West and Northumberland County are in the affected area.
Starting Friday night, heavy rains are expected that may continue through to Saturday evening.
Between 20 and 35 mm of rain is expected and environment Canada is cautioning people that the frozen ground will have reduced ability to absorb the water and that flooding could be a risk in some areas.
