A 79-year-old person remains in critical condition in hospital following a collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian in Belleville last night.
Belleville Police say the pedestrian was crossing Bell Blvd. at Sidney Street around 6:45 p.m. and was struck by a pickup truck.
The victim was taken to Kingston General Hospital.
A portion of Bell Blvd. was closed for about six hours while Belleville Police Uniform Patrol, Forensics Identification Unit and Traffic Safety Unit conducted a collision investigation.
Police continue to investigate but say the driver remained at the scene.
