The cities of Belleville and Quinte West have declared an end to their Significant Weather Events.
The City of Belleville provided the following statement on the decision.
After reviewing weather reports the city subscribes to and observing the current weather, sidewalk conditions and road conditions, the City of Belleville wishes to declare the end of the significant weather event in accordance with the Minimum Maintenance Standards, Ont Reg. 239/02.
The City of Quinte West noted in their press release that despite the lifting of the declaration, it does not mean that maintenance work is complete.
They say city crews are continuing to work on clearing the remaining sidewalks and roads.
