It appears 2022 was a strong year for Loyalist College. That according to the current Acting School President.
In our annual Year in Review, we sat down with Mark Kirkpatrick, who took over for Dr. Anne Marie Vaughan. He tells Quinte News the past year all comes down to students.
“Making sure they got not just the academic experience that they were looking for, but the social experience. We’ve really, really been pushing to make sure those things happen, and make sure students are really well supported after being locked in their rooms doing school for the last few years.”
He says they had record enrolment for this year too.
“Just about 3,650 for enrolment this year, which is the highest enrolment we’ve ever had at the institution. Enrolment is really, really good and of course if enrolment’s good, you’re doing well financially.”
He says because of the good financial numbers, the school is fixed on a growth-oriented pattern moving into 2023.
The school said goodbye to College President Dr. Anne Marie Vaughan and Kirkpatrick says moving forward it will be important for the new president to put their own seal on the years to come.
