The event was delayed by a day due to a snowstorm but Christmas in the Village was still a success.
An estimated 750 plus people attended the holiday event Saturday at the Children’s Safety Village.
The celebration marked its return after a hiatus due to COVID-19.
The event was to be held Friday evening but organizers postponed it by 24 hours to allow for the city to further clear the roads, making it safer for families to travel.
CSV board chair Matt Howell emphasized how grateful they were for the sponsors, friends and volunteers who came out despite the date change and the weather to take part, including those who helped clear snow and put up decorations after the storm.
