2023 is just around the corner and that means it is time for Quinte News to begin its year in review.
We chatted with Jim Harrison, the mayor of Quinte West, and got his thoughts on the year that was.
Harrison says with the cost of inflation hitting municipalities hard, council will have to be flexible and pivot and things change.
“We have to look at how we can do what we have been doing, but do it more effectively and more efficiently.”
Harrison says there are a number of infrastructure projects that have been top of mind and they will continue into the new year.
“Such as the Wooler Road bridge, our road work, our road surfacing, rural and urban. Plus the infrastructure water and sewer. We’ve got some major projects with water and sewer.”
