The National Air Force Museum of Canada Board of Directors and the NAFMC Foundation Board have accepted another generous donation for the ongoing Theatre Campaign.
Ken and Cynthya Schmidt, owners of McDonald’s Trenton, presented their donation to members of the Museum and Foundation Boards on Tuesday this week.
The NAFMC is dedicated to preserving the history of military aviation in Canada. Visitors to the Museum learn of the exploits of brave Canadians who overcame adversity to safeguard the lives and culture of their fellow Canadians. Named in honour of long-time NAFMC supporters, the Elsie and Norman Cross Theatre is a 125-seat, state-of-the-art theatre designed to enhance the visitor experience, and will be used for education programs, film screenings, squadron meetings, and other various community events and conferences.
Other donors to the Theatre Campaign include the Parrott Foundation, Hastings County, The City of Quinte West, McDougall Insurance & Financial, Kiwanis Club of Belleville, Williams Hotels, Quinte Business Development Centre, Ontario Gaming East LP, and Wilkinson & Company LLP.
