Several members of Belleville Fire and Emergency Services, including Chief Monique Belair were honoured for their years of service during Monday’s council meeting while a number of new recruits were also introduced.
Mayor Ellis and Fire Chief Belair presented Provincial Service Awards to Acting Captain Greg Emm, Acting Captain Peter Huffman, firefighter Adam Jelley, Captain John Lake, Captain Mike MacDonald, Captain Andy Noyes, and Captain Mark Shannon.
Chief Belair was the recipient of her 35-year Provincial Service Bar.
Eight new recruits were also welcomed to Belleville Fire and Emergency Services; David Allen, Josh Belnap, Britt Benn, Dylan Gatward, Robert Howe, Rhodri Lloyd, Pierre Muscat-Drago and Richard Quick.
