Influenza activity across Hastings and Prince Edward Counties remains high and cases of COVID-19 also ticked up this week as two more deaths were reported.
In its weekly update, Hastings Prince Edward Public Health reports 34 new lab-confirmed cases of Influenza, 32 of them Influenza A.
There have been 112 flu cases so far this season, Influenza A responsible for all but three of them.
There are no outbreaks of flu or other illnesses at this time.
Meanwhile, the Public Health dashboard shows 73 new cases of COVID-19 this week.
Active high-risk cases have increased from 56 to 78.
There have now been 96 COVID deaths in Hastings Prince Edward.
Hospitalizations increased from two to six though no one is being treated in the ICU.
There are four active outbreaks of COVID in high-risk facilities.
