Charges have been laid following a single vehicle collision at a Highway 401 service centre in Quinte West.
OPP were called to the westbound OnRoute around 8:30 Monday evening where a vehicle had reportedly struck a guard rail and the driver attempted to leave the scene.
Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the 51-year-old driver who was found to be impaired.
Lynn Gilroy from Trent Hills faces charges of operation while impaired – alcohol, and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), had their vehicle impounded and licence suspended for 90 days.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on January 12.
