Belleville police responded to 218 calls for service over a 72-hour period from 5 a.m. on December 2, 2022 to5 a.m. on December 5, 2022.
Mischief, Breach of conditions
On December 2, 2022, at 11:45 a.m., police received a call to an east end address regarding an out of control male. Police were advised that the male was causing damage at his grandmother’s residence and possibly had a knife. Police attended the residence and arrested a 26-year-old Belleville man for mischief. He was later released on a Form10 release order.
Later that evening, at 8:10 p.m., the male returned to the same residence and was causing a disturbance. Police attended and arrested the male who was now breaching conditions he was placed on earlier in the day. He was held for a bail hearing on December 3, 2022.
Impaired Driver
On December 3, 2022 at 12:15 a.m., police received a call to a Cannifton Road gas station regarding a male who was acting suspicious or possibly impaired. A witness to the incident followed the male as he drove away and contacted police. The vehicle was located on Highway 37 by police, and the male driver was arrested for impaired driving. David Woodroof, 38, of Stirling was charged with impaired driving and operation with over 80mgs. He will appear in court on December 29, 2022.
