The Wellington Dukes beat the Stouffville Spirit 4 to 1 on Friday.
Jared Langdon, Edward Moskowitz, Jacob Vreugdenhill, and Ryan Smith all scored for the Dukes.
The Spirit claimed an early lead with an unanswered first period goal, but the Dukes came back with a vengeance in the second, claiming three goals before taking their fourth in the third period to claim victory and out-shooting the Spirit 55 to 23.
Meanwhile the Trenton Golden Hawks shot down the Toronto Patriots 6 to 3.
Jordan Fuller, Sami Douglas-Najem, Lucas Robinson, Sam Williamson, Adam OMarra, and Mitch Lafey all scored for the Golden Hawks.
The Golden Hawks got off to an explosive start with Jordan Fuller rushing to the first goal of the night in under 90 seconds of play. Once the Golden Hawks took the lead, they never let it go, claiming a second goal before the Patriots could get on the board and claiming two more in the second period unanswered. In the third period, the Patriots came back to score two more, but the Golden Hawks also claimed two more, maintaining their commanding lead and sealing the game.
