Building activity in Prince Edward County was up in November compared to October but down in relation to the same month in 2021.
The County issued 78 permits with a construction value of $18.6 million in November, up from 61 permits worth $7.6 million in October.
In November 2021 there were 107 permits for $21.6 million worth of construction granted.
Year to date, there have been fewer permits issued but the construction value is higher.
Through the end of last month, 948 permits worth a little more than $207 million have been granted compared to 1022 permits worth just under $178 million in 2021.
Prince Edward County has pulled in more building permit fees so far this year – almost $1.2 million – about $180,000 more than the first eleven months of last year.
