Quinte West OPP have laid charges following a head-on collision on County Road 40.
Police responded to calls of an accident between an SUV and a car on November 25. Police determined nobody was injured at the scene, but the driver of the car was showing signs of impairment. Witnesses claimed the car crossed over into the oncoming lane, striking the SUV.
Police arrested the driver of the car, and after testing him, discovered he had a blood alcohol level well above the legal limit.
Fifty-nine-year old James Bruce from Toronto was charged with operation while impaired and dangerous driving. His vehicle was impounded and his licence suspended for 90 days.
The accused is scheduled to appear before a Belleville court on December 15.
