Charges have been laid against three people after a drug seizure in Quinte West Wednesday afternoon.
Around 5 p.m., Quinte West OPP stopped a vehicle in Trenton on Stella Crescent in relation to a drug trafficking investigation.
Three people in a vehicle were arrested, and suspected crystal meth, cocaine, phones and cash were seized in the vehicle.
At a follow up search at a Kerr Crescent property, officers seized more meth, cocaine, oxycocet and clonazepam.
Paul Dawson, 35 years old, Kyle Jackson, 30 years old, both from Quinte West and Jennifer Fox, 32 years old from Deseronto have each been charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine;
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine;
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
Additionally, Dawson is alleged to have breached a conditional sentence order and has been charged with possession of a schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking – Clonazepam and possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – oxycocet.
Fox was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on December 15, 2022.
The other two accused were held in custody and are scheduled to appear for bail at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on December 1, 2022.
