While COVID-19 cases are dropping, Hastings Prince Edward Public health is reporting high influenza activity in the area.
In its latest weekly update for COVID-19, Hastings Prince Edward Public Health’s dashboard is reporting 56 active high-risk cases of COVID-19. That’s a drop from 66 last week.
Forty-two new high-risk cases of COVID-19 were reported over the last seven days.
No new COVID-related deaths are being reported.
Hospitalizations continue to see falling numbers. Two people are in hospital with COVID-19 in the region, down from seven last week.
No one is in the intensive care unit.
When it comes to respiratory infections, HPEPH’s dashboard is showing 14 new cases of Influenza A.
There have been a total of 63 confirmed Influenza A cases for the 2022-2023 flu season.
No new cases of Influenza B are being reported. There has been one case reported this season.
An influenza outbreak was reported. The outbreak is located in North Hastings. It is the lone outbreak of Influenza reported for the season so far.
